In a tweet, Elon Musk indicated that the first Tesla Model 3 ( serial number 01) will be done this Friday. It has passed all regulatory requirements 2 weeks ahead of schedule, which is really the big news here considering Tesla’s affinity for delays on certain goals. The Model 3 is so significant for Tesla because it is their first vehicle that wont cost sports car money to purchase. The Model 3 should start at about $35,000 & should get over 200 miles on a single charge. All that with a 0-60 time under 6 seconds. There isn’t much more we know about the Model 3. Sure, the inside of it looks like someone taped an iPad to the dash, but a lot of people like the simplicity, & limited distractions. If you decided you wanted to reserve one today, you would not get it until mid 2018, unless you purchased it second hand.
