Have you ever been shopping near Christmas for a Furby, Tickle Me Elmo, or Hatchimal? Remember the feeling as hopes of finding one slowly slipped away? Well, i’d imagine this is something like that, for the wealthy. Koenigsegg recently announced that it has sold all 80 Regera’s. If you’re keeping count, that means the Regera is the largest production run of any vehicle in Koenigsegg’s history.
For those of you who haven’t heard of the Regara, it’s a ~1.9 Million dollar plug in hybrid hypercar. The 5.0L twin turbo V8 & 3 electric motors make a spine shattering 1,500 hp and 1,475 Ft lbs of torque. It can get from 0-62 in about 2.8 seconds, & it can clear a bank account just as quick. It may look a lot more docile than a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Even the door waives at you when you open it! But that is sort of the point, it is meant to be a more relaxed compared to its track focused counterpart, the Agera RS. If you’re looking for a Regara, you may be able to obtain one from a 3rd party re-seller. Hope you have your checkbook ready, because you know there will be a healthy markup.
